Governor Gina Raimondo has appointed Partridge Snow & Hahn counsel, Christian F. Capizzo, to the Rhode Island Judicial Nominating Commission. The Judicial Nominating Commission is charged with screening applicants for vacancies on all Rhode Island’s courts. The Commission is responsible for selecting candidates to be interviewed, soliciting public comment, and conducting background checks. Based on the information developed through this process, the Commission votes and submits a list of 3-5 highly qualified individuals for each judicial vacancy to the Governor, who then makes a selection from that list.
Christian chairs the firm’s Energy Practice and co-chairs the firm’s Land Use & Environmental Practice. With over 15 years of experience in both the public and private sector, Christian assists his clients navigate the complex and ever-changing world where energy/environmental regulations and business intersect.
