Partridge Snow & Hahn (PS&H) is pleased to welcome Joshua D. Xavier to the firm as an Associate in the firm’s Employment & Labor Practice. He represents employers in a wide range of counseling and litigation matters, including discrimination, retaliation, misclassification, minimum wage, overtime and harassment claims, leave acts, unemployment benefits, and severances. Xavier also has experience in general business litigation and civil rights litigation.
Early in his career, Xavier served as a judicial law clerk to the Rhode Island Superior, Family and District Courts. In that role, he drafted numerous judicial decisions involving an array of legal topics and issues such as employment discrimination and unemployment benefits.
Xavier earned his J.D., cum laude, from Roger Williams University School of Law where he was awarded a scholarship as one of only two Public Interest Scholars in his class. During law school, he held judicial internships with Judge O. Rogeriee Thompson in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and with Judge John J. McConnell, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island, and served as President of the Multi-Cultural Law Students Association. Xavier received his B.S. from New York University.
