Michael serves as Counsel in the firm’s Transactional and Litigation Practice Groups, where he focuses primarily on commercial real estate transactions, land use and development, and real estate-related litigation.
Dan is a litigator who has represented clients across a broad range of industries in complex litigation and investigations. He has helped clients defend against claims brought under state and federal antitrust laws, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, federal securities law, and state product liability laws, among other statutes.
David focuses his practice in the area of public finance. He serves as bond counsel to numerous governmental entities, underwriter’s counsel, purchaser’s counsel, and borrower’s counsel. He has been involved in the issuance of over $3 billion in tax-exempt securities in various types of transactions, including public offerings, direct bank purchases, and conduit issuances for both new money and refinancing of existing debt, as well as tax-exempt lease financing transactions.
Dan serves as Counsel in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, focusing on commercial litigation and insolvency. Dan has extensive experience representing banks and other lenders in bankruptcy and receivership proceedings, actions seeking affirmative recovery, defense of claims against lenders, and matters affecting lenders’ collateral. He has developed relationships with many area professionals, such as auctioneers, appraisers, accountants, and other attorneys, who are often necessary to successfully resolve troubled loans for his lender clients.
Randy represents and counsels private and institutional clients in general business litigation, commercial paper and borrower workout, employment, intellectual property, product liability defense, construction law, and shareholder dispute matters. He has extensive litigation experience in the state and federal trial and appellate courts as well as various state and federal administrative agencies.
Russell focuses his practice on advising businesses on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters, the intricacies of U.S. Federal and State tax regulations, and advising nonprofit charities and charitable foundations on Federal tax regulations and State charitable regulations as well as general business matters. Russell has extensive experience counseling businesses on business and tax matters relating to corporate mergers & acquisitions, real estate development and investment fund structuring, tax planning, business restructurings, partnership taxation and Opportunity Zone Investments.
Alicia is the Chair of the Firm’s Labor & Employment Practice. She represents businesses and management in labor & employment litigation and compliance matters. Alicia defends employers in disputes in state and federal court, the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, federal and state wage and hour agencies, and other mediation, arbitration and administrative proceedings.
