Partridge Snow & Hahn Partner, Paul M. Kessimian, was recently elected to President-Elect of Defense Counsel of Rhode Island (DCRI).
The state association of attorneys defending the interests of businesses and individuals in civil litigation, DCRI enhances the skills, effectiveness, and professionalism of civil defense lawyers through a provision of resources. They are committed to advancing the interests of the civil defense bar by advocating for improvements in the civil justice system. Paul has been an active member of DCRI for over ten years.
In response to his election, Paul commented, “I’m honored for the opportunity to serve as President-Elect of DCRI. DCRI is a leading voice in the Rhode Island legal community and I will work hard to build on its reputation and commitment to the justice system we all serve and our membership.”
Paul will serve as President-Elect for two years before becoming President.
As a member of Partridge Snow & Hahn’s Executive Committee and Chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, Paul represents corporate clients and individuals in nearly every type and all phases of complex litigation. He has tried both bench and jury trials in state and federal courts. With a business-minded approach, Paul advises clients across a wide range of industries in high stakes, high value disputes often alongside or against some of the largest and most established law firms in the country.
In addition to his involvement with DCRI, Paul serves as Vice Chair of the Liberal Arts Honors Leadership Council and is a member of the President’s Council at Providence College. He serves as Vice Chair of the EVOLVE Committee and Vice Chair of the Commercial Litigation Section of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel. He is also the Secretary & Executive Committee Member of the Rhode Island Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He also serves as a co-chair of the E-Discovery Subcommittee and Web and Practice Point Editor of the Commercial & Business Litigation Committee in the Section of Litigation of the American Bar Association.
